Achievement Record Book

This is a requirement to win one of the two senior club competition award.
Club Presidents: Please bring your Achievement Record Book to the convention for judging and displays.
Don’t forgot to take it back to your club after it has been judged.

OHIO FEDERATION OF MUSIC CLUBS

ACHIEVEMENT RECORD BOOK GUIDELINES

  1. COVER

The book can be a scrapbook or a binder of your choice.  The cover page to be used is found at NFMC Website at www.nfmc-music.org and is required.   Books may be reused with only the information required for the specified period.

 II.   CATEGORIES

  1.  Clubs of 50 or more members may use up to 125 pages.
  2.  Clubs of less than 50 members may use up to 75 pages.

III.   TITLE PAGE

Name of club, dates covered, name and address of Achievement Record Chairman.

IV.   INDEX

Alphabetical index placed in back of book, legible and neat, with specific page numbers.

Add number of club members at the bottom of index page.

V.   MATERIAL

A.  National President and National Officers

B.  State and District Officers (A & B to equal 5 points)

C.  Pictures of Club officers, program guests, artist sponsored by the Club, club

Activities, etc. (25 points)

D.  Newspaper clippings and printed articles, includes name of newspaper and date

published.  Cut and paste neatly (10 points)

.   E.   Mention of OHIO FEDERATION OF MUSIC CLUBS underlined in red

(5 points)

F.   Names of National, State and Club personalities may be underlined, but not in

red (5 points)

VI.   GENERAL SUGGESTIONS

Select contents with care.  Avoid duplication.  Fasten exhibits securely.  Consider the bases

for judging when compiling the book.

VII.  BASES FOR DECISIONS IN JUDGING

  1. Cover and Title Page (5 points)
  2. Index in Book (5 points)
  3. Material and Contents (50 points)
  4. Arrangement and continuity (10 points)
  5. Originality (15 points)
  6. Artistry (15 points)

Score for winning must be above 90 points.  Books will be judged only at the OFMC State Convention.  They should not be mailed but presented for judging on a “bring and take” basis.
