Membership requirements for participation in the Junior Music Festivals
To participate in the Junior Music Festivals, there are two requirements:
1. Music teacher’s membership
The teacher must be a member of the OFMC (Ohio Federation of Music Clubs).
How? There are several ways:
a. Join an existing OFMC senior music club. Contact the president of the club you wish to join for information on dues amounts and payment deadlines. Dues must be paid yearly.
OR –
b. Join as a Senior (Individual ) Member of OFMC. Deadline for payment of dues is Nov. 1 to be able to send students to the following year’s junior music festival. Dues must be paid yearly.
OR –
2. Student’s membership
The teacher’s students must be members of OFMC.
How? There are two ways.
a. Join an OFMC federated junior music club. Many teachers form a club from their own studio and pay dues for the club. Some teachers form a junior club as a group. Click on the link for the junior club dues form. Deadline for payment of dues is Dec. 1 to be able to participate in the following year’s junior music festival. Dues must be paid yearly.
OR –
b. Join as a Junior Special (Individual) Member of OFMC. Deadline for payment of dues is Dec. 1 to be able to participate in the following year’s junior music festival. Dues must be paid yearly.
