Congratulations to Anderson Rambler, of Akron, Ohio for winning the second place $1000 award in the NFMC Martha Marcks Mack Junior Vocal Award Competition! Anderson is a student of Denise Milner Howell, [email protected], adjunct professor of voice at the Cleveland Institute of Music.  He is a Junior in HS and loves to perform.  Please let your area clubs know about Anderson and reach out to congratulate him!

  • PURPOSE. The purpose of the Foundation for the Advancement of Music is to:
    1. encourage the composition and performance of music
    2. aid performing and creative artists, regardless of citizenship
    3. promote musical education
    4. aid veterans in commencing and resuming musical careers
    5. grant scholarships to carry out the above

  1. A $1,400 scholarship to a student in an OFMC affiliated school majoring in music, preferably strong in performance and proficient on at least one instrument or in voice.

  4. The student receiving the scholarship should be willing to perform once at a State Convention, a District Conference in NE, SE, SW or NW Ohio, or a local music club meeting.
  5.  The colleges eligible to receive the scholarship would include all those affiliated schools not already receiving other automatic awards in Music Therapy or for PhD. Candidates.
